The difference between PCAP and Infrared touch screen

Infrared technology touch screen is composed of infrared emitting and receiving sensing elements installed on the outer frame of the touch screen. On the surface of the screen, an infrared detection network is formed, and any touching object can change the infrared rays on the touch screen to realize the touch screen operation. The realization principle of infrared touch screen is similar to that of surface acoustic wave touch, which uses infrared emitting and receiving sensing elements.

These components form an infrared detection network on the surface of the screen, and objects (such as fingers) operated by touch can change the infrared rays of the electric shock, and then be converted into the coordinate position of the touch to realize the response of the operation. On the infrared touch screen, the circuit boards arranged on the four sides of the screen are equipped with infrared emitting tubes and infrared receiving tubes, corresponding to form a horizontal and vertical cross-infrared matrix.

2. Capacitive touch screen

The capacitive touch screen is a transparent special metal conductive material pasted on the glass surface. When the finger touches the metal layer, the capacitance of the contact will change, so that the frequency of the oscillator connected to it will change. By measuring the frequency change, the touch position can be determined to obtain information. Since capacitance varies with temperature, humidity, or grounding conditions, it is less stable and tends to drift
